Woodstown

After 9 weeks lockdown due to Covid-19, I was delighted that I could finally set my alarm to go to Woodstown, not too far from where I live. The tide and sunrise matched perfectly for some early morning pictures between the oyster beds on Woodstown beach. Great to be out again in the early morning, witness the sunrise and be home again before everyone wakes up. I really missed this and I can’t wait for the lockdown is completely lifted.

Sea of opportunities

Here we are, settled in Waterford and having a great time with all the beautiful people here. As we visited Waterford so many times the last 18 years, it feels like home. After saying goodbye to photoclub VeluweOOm in the Netherlands, I was happy to join the Waterford Camera Club (WCC) where I received a very warm welcome. A great club with wonderful and very talented people.

In my last post I mentioned how great is was to have those beautiful woods on your doorstep in the Netherlands. The situation here is much different as Ireland is one of the EU countries with the least amount of woods. In return we get stunning coastlines and breathtaking landscapes, it really opens up a sea of new opportunities for me. During the first 2 months I visited the coast a couple of times and I would like to share some of the images with you. Hope you like them. Enjoy.
