River IJssel

Due to the drought this summer, the water level has fallen to a point that it is impossible for fully loaded ships to navigate on it. Personally I never saw it that low.

The Posbank

Between some August showers I went together with neighbour Fred to the Posbank to capture some great clouds. Normally the heath of the Posbank would be blooming and the hills would be colouring purple, but because of the very hot and dry summer, it is a parched landscape. Unfortunately it will take some years till this area will be recovered.

Ginkelse heide

It has been a while that I set my alarm for 5 o’clock. The Ginkelse heide wasn’t an area that I explored before. So when Dave Zuuring told me he was going there in the early morning, I didn’t hesitate to join hem. Thanks Dave for a great morning. Coffee, cake and mother nature did the rest.
