Loowaard

On one of the hottest days of the year, the only time to get out is the early morning. To witness the sunrise, the alarm was set for 04.00 in the morning. Together with Marion Keijzer, Sander Grefte and Wim Smallegange, I went to the Loowaard, an area next to the river Rhine where you can find wild horses. A beautiful area with fields and forests. Also a great opportunity to test my new Tamron AF SP 24-70 f/2.8 Di VC USD lens. The wide-angle pictures were made with the Tokina 11-18 lens, the rest with the Tamron and I’m very happy with the results.

Family photo shoot

My daughter Laura asked me to make some pictures for her blog ‘Het meisje met worteltjeshaar ’ (The girl with carrot hair). A splendid way to try my new (second hand) set of studio lights. Later, her brother Marijn joined in.

What a great way of spending a rainy Saturday afternoon.

CCC Studio Event

During the CCC Studio Event at Studio34 in Almere, I was invited, with almost 30 other  inspiring photographers, to explore a complete different and for me unknown discipline of photography: studio photography.

Waterford in monochrome

Please find a series of scenes in Waterford in black/white. The pictures where taken last month at the Copper coast, Counshingaun Lough and Woodstown. The series ends with an exception: Hook Head.

This will be the last series of my visit last month to Ireland, hope you enjoyed the series of this beautiful country. Hope there will be a lot more series of Ireland in the future.
